1953 MG TD
The MG TD was produced from 1949 to August of 1953. During that period there were many subtle changes, but nothing drastic. The first MG TDs were manufactured in late 1949, and the model was formally announced in January of 1950. Only 98 TDs were made in 1949, 2 RHD and 96 LHD. There were a total of four model years - 1950, 1951, 1952, and 1953, and the models are nowadays referred to as the MG TD, TD2 andTD Mark II.

The car we offer for sale here was built in the second week of June 1952 and then shipped to the United States. It returned to the UK in 1991 and then before it was returned to the road in September 1994 it was the subject of a total nut and bolt rebuild the parts list alone amounted to almost £9000.
Finished in Old English White with red leather interior and fitted unusually with a polished walnut dash, this Left Hand Drive MG TD Mark 11 is absolutely stunning. Since going back on the road the car has covered a mere 1850 miles and is driving absolutely superbly. However the previous owner was such a fastidious person he decided he wasn’t happy with the paintwork and so in 2014 the car underwent a further refurbishment to the body work and the car is now almost like a brand new car.

The list of work done in 2014 comprises:
All Body parts removed & Repainted
Modified Oil Filter Canister
Tachometer Recalibrated
New Tacho Cable
New Water Pump & Pulley
New Chrome Bonnet Strip
New Battery

It comes complete with all-weather equipment in black.
