Triumph Stag Mk 2 1973 Manual with Overdrive

Triumph produced a winning concept with the Stag. Designed by Michelotti, the Stag was superb Grand Tourer in the true sense of the word. Comfortable, stylish, quick and most of all desirable in its day, the Stag now has developed an enormous following, and with an active club to support that following the Triumph Stag makes a superb investment.

This particular car has always had a “good home”. Each of its owners has continued keeping the car well maintained and in good condition regardless of cost. Its latest owner has in fact spent over £4000 bringing the car up to his own impeccable standard. The car was stripped back to a bare shell and re-painted professionally, the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt, the work done appears never ending, but then some people just have to have things done right. The history file with the car contains around 100 bills and receipts, and goes back to 1989; with the amount being lavished on the car in those years totals almost £15000.

Finished in Tahiti Blue, with Mid Grey interior and the seating piped in blue. It’s recently been fitted with a new Double Duck Convertible roof. It does of course come with a hard top, and is fitted with factory alloy wheels along with excellent tyres all round. Under the bonnet is superbly presented, looking almost as new. The interior is delightfully “period” with the wood dash complimenting those very 1970’s dials. The gearbox is a delight to use, with overdrive clicking in and out on third and fourth gears. The power steering is beautifully weighted, and the oil pressure and temperature run at the correct levels.

This Stag will come with 12 months MOT, so all its future owner will need to add is a “Coat of Road Tax” for the coming season.

It may be difficult to find a better Stag for only £15995
