MG MGB Roadster Additional Information
1963 MGB Roadster
An MGB,just about the most typical of British Classic Sports cars.
However, occasionally, just occasionally, one comes along that truly raises the bar, and this is one such car. An original 1963 Pull Handle MGB, but
this car was built to replicate as near as possible the Morley Brothers 1964 Monte Carlo Class winner 7DBL, by the MG Owners club, with advice from Don Morley himself and also Den Green & Tommy Welman who worked in the BMC Competitions department in the early sixties using copies of the original factory build sheets. The engine was built on behalf of the MG Owners Club by Oselli.
Now, after a successful competition career, with significant expense the cars is in exceptional condition once again and has a tremendous spec containing:
Registration Number 41DBL
Ivor Searle 1850 cc Engine
Weber 40DCOE Carburettor
Gearbox, 4 Speed Part Synchro,Close Ratio, Straight Cut 1st,2nd,3rd, with overdrive on 3rd and 4th
Competition Suspension with uprated Springs, Shock Absorbers and altered camber angles.
Competition Brakes
Ridgard Leather Rally Seats with 4 point harnesses.
Halda Twinmaster

This car has been successful in a number of top events, the most notable being fourth place on the Pirelli Marathon and its now been prepared to compete once again.
If you are looking for a Competition MGB then this car is quite possibly the best on the market right now.
The December 1989 edition of the “Enjoying MG “ magazine features this amazing car, and comes in the history file.
Its £29995, but then it is unique, with a unique history and with a true works car having recently achieved £141,000 at auction, looks very reasonably priced.
